Tralee is the capital town of County Kerry and Ireland’s 7th largest town. It is a bustling shopping, tourism, commercial, educational, retail, industrial and services centre, the seat of local government, and a regional transport hub. It is administered by Tralee Town Council. Tralee is home to the world-famous Rose of Tralee International Festival (mid August) and an expanding number of weekend festivals including Pageant Kerry (St. Patrick’s Weekend in March), Samhlaíocht Chiarraí Easter Arts Festival, Tralee Garden Festival / Féile na mBláth (mid June) and the Kerry Film Festival (October). Tralee has two fully serviced industrial estates at Clash and Monavalley and is home to Kerry Technology Park adjoining ITTralee at Dromtacker. The town of Tralee has all the facilities of a county capital and is the county/regional headquarters for An Post, Eircom, the Revenue Commissioners, Department of Social Community and Family Affairs, the County Council, Teagasc, Kerry Educational Services, Electricity Supply Board and the Garda Síochána. It is a training, administration, services and commercial centre with most national retailers such as Dunnes Stores, Tesco, Shaws, Roches Stores, Tubs and Tiles etc. located there.
